Network Map – Persuasive Media
As a teacher, Kate is constantly sourcing information and in tune with many issues in the media… including environmental issues. Her job requires her to up to date and aware, therefore she uses a variety of Media sources to gain knowledge for not only herself, but also her students.
She watches ABC news and documentary type programs, listens to the radio occasionally, reads The Age Newspaper and enjoys reading an fantasy novels to escape the day to day hustle. Kate has a diverse network of friends she sees regularly, fellow teachers, and old hospitality work mates. The diversity keeps her balanced and she finds herself amongst good company whom enjoy the occassional conversation and sometimes even conflict in opinion. At the end of the day though, her community allows her to become more aware and overall continue learning of important environmental issues.
Kate is moving forward… she’s trying to make a difference and utilises the media as a resource on a day to day basis.
